At the EnerJ-meeting 2026 , the Powesco teams joined Distech Controls to share their experience from the Clever project , a large-scale renovation of an occupied office complex. This presentation highlighted the challenges of an ambitious energy renovation that balances operational continuity, sustainable performance, and asset enhancement.
Throughout the conference, the speakers reviewed the various stages of the project: the initial assessment, the modernization of an outdated building management system), the design of an open and scalable architecture, the management of the work while the building was occupied, and the long-term performance monitoring. Participants discovered how heritage renovation can become a true driver of value creation, with measured energy savings of 35 to 40%, a building management system (BMS) compliant with the BACS decree, simplified operation, and lastingly improved comfort for occupants.
